Obscura By Danielle is my brand for myself and all other creators leading an alternative artist lifestyle. My name is Danielle Rodgers, I’m a 31 year old oil painter who lives on a farm outside of Philadelphia. My path as an artist is not an easy or a straight forward one. It parallels my illustration style, which also strays far from the mainstream. My paintings are created for those finding strength and expression amid life’s adversities.

My vision for alternative art extends beyond just my illustrations. It’s deeply connected to my love for goth and alternative fashion—things I’m also excited to share with you all. It’s been hard finding other artists that I can relate too.

I juggle the demands of a day job to survive while pursuing a career as an artist. It’s a current sacrifice I must make to make sure I never have to compromise my vision.
